  • We always heard people saying, “I’m really in the mood of eating sweets right now, can we get some?” Sweets are certainly always delicious and irresistible, but too many sugar in our body without us recognizing it can give us more chance in getting many diseases. So, let’s just give more consideration before eating more of it.
We rarely realize that most of us ‘need’ something that we called as sweets, it’s called sugar craving. Sugar craving can be the main problem for us that in diet mode on and will lead us to diabetes.
  1. What will you do about that? Here are 6 best way to decrease this sugar craving. Start to avoid food in packaging, just choose the one in ‘real’ form.
  2. Drink more water each day, sometimes you may feel that you’re hungry, but actually it’s thirst.
  3. Choose food that contains more protein because protein is absorbed longer than carbohydrate and make us feel full more.
  4. Stop eating sweets at least in 3 weeks, after 3 weeks the desire to eat sweets won’t be as strong as before.
  5. Control the desire to snacking if you’re snacking, try to stop then do another activity so that the desire won’t be as strong either.
  6. And the best way is to avoid drinks with a lot of sugar in it, not just softdrinks, but also juices in packaging and sport drink with a lot of sugar.
  • To measure the sugar that we eat, better when we buy something, we make sure the that there’s no sugar in it, like sucrose, fructose, and dextrose, just think twice before buying it!
Anyway, eating something sweet can stimulate Serotonin hormone in our brain. Serotonin is a hormone that can make us feel happy. That’s why when we feel stressed, we prefer chocolate and any other sweet snacks. With snacking, our serotonin hormone will stimulated and make us feel happy but not in a long time, that’s the thing that makes us addicted.
  • Actually, sugar is just used for increase energy of our body without vitamin, mineral, or even fiber that you can find in natural food. According to America Heart Association, human can only consumed not more than 6 teaspoon for women and 9 teaspoon for men.
To get out from the addiction you guys really have to make a strong commitment. The best solution is to recognize and change what you eat. Change it into low sugar food. Next step is to avoid cozy places and nice places to snacking and change all the snack stock into fresh fruits stock. The last step is to exercise more, invite all your family or friends to exercise with you.
